In my blog post concerning Samus’ speed, I found out that when running, Samus runs Mach 1.41 and when she uses the shinespark, she flies Mach 2. I can use Samus’ mass of 90 kg. [1] to determine the amount of energy and force Samus would generate. This is ignoring the mass of Samus’ powered armor, which I plan on working on in the future. Mach 1.41 is 483.63 m/s. Mach 2 is equal to 686 m/s.

One more thing that needs to be mentioned is how long it takes Samus to reach top speed, so we’ll need to determine this by how many seconds it takes. Considering it’s possibly a game mechanic because the time differs from game to game, the consistent time has been at least 2 seconds.
